Description
HID stands
for High Intensity Discharge. It refers to lighting
technology that relies on an electrical charge to ignite
xenon gas contained in a sealed bulb. One great advantage of
HID lighting is that it doesn't have a filament but
instead creates light by igniting an arc between two
electrodes. HID lights get their name from the intense white
light produced by the electrical discharge.
Halogen bulb which has
filament has a lifespan of about 250 hours (1 year), HID
bulbs are gas filled capsules that are rated for a life of
2500-3000 hours (3 to 5 years). Another fact is that they
use only 35 watts of electricity, while your stock Halogen
bulbs requires 55 watts.
HID Bulbs
HID lights get their name from the intense white light
produced by electrical discharge. HID lamps are also called
xenon lamps referring to a gas inside the lamps. HID Lights
are currently used in most sports arenas, stadiums and
trains around the world. Don't be fooled by the Xenon Bulbs
that sell for $20 at any retail shop. They produce a very
scattered and artificial light that are less bright than
normal halogens. They are no match for the intensity,
purity, and efficiency of High Intensity Discharge
Headlights. These bulbs are available in 3000K, 5000K,
6000K, 8000K, 10000K and 15000K.
Bi-Xenon HID Bulb
Bi-Xenon HID
bulb is for made for 9003/9004/9007/9008/H4/H13, where the factory low beam
and high beam is on one bulb. The Bi-Xenon will allow you to have both low
beam and high beam in HID. The Bi-Xenon setup
is a single-capsule that generates regular low beam & high
beam using the HID capsule patterns. This is done by using
a movable shutter. It is more expensive due to the required
controllers. This saves energy, money, construction space
and weight. The Bi-Xenon comes with a battery
harness that allows you connect the HID directly to the battery.

Note:
The higher the Kelvin (K) rating, the
more blue the light output will be. As the K
rating goes up, light output goes down. We recommend HID
kits ranging 5000K to 8000K for maximum brightness.
